Home Alone

My visitors left early in dire need of a special coffee that I have no machinery to duplicate. Besides that, a trip of at least four hours was ahead and they wished to get back and settled into their routine. I understand that feeling. The visit was a good one. We spent much of the time in my cool backyard. The ninety degree temperature kept us sweaty when inside. That was particularly tough on folks accustomed to the cool dampness of Seattle. For supper we enjoyed tacos, onions, guacamole and black beans topped with sour cream. Their visit was a real treat. Tim and I planned a trail walk for later this summer, probably up Mt Rainier, details yet to be decided. All in all, a good weekend. Now to figure out just what routine I can make for myself. I appreciate my surroundings and conditions, noticing that I am indeed alone.
